Brenda and all the crew at the hospital has been such a blessing in Cookie’s life. From the moment we met them, I could feel how attentive and thoughtful they are. What I appreciate most is how calm and compassionate the crew is, not only with Cookie, but with me as well. They treats her patients with so much care and respect, and it’s clear that they take their work seriously and with heart. Cookie feels safe with them and that gives me so much peace. Finding a veterinarian you trust completely is not easy, and I’m so thankful we found Brenda at the Irvine hospital. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone who genuinely cares and goes above and beyond.
The staff is always very attentive. My labradoodle loves their treats and everyone who takes care of him. We come for his regular vaccinations and check up and he is a happy camper. Highly recommended this veterinary clinic!
I drove all the way from Culver City, LA just to come to this pet hospital because of how caring the staff are. The vet is super thorough and caring. They place you in a room with your baby and go over step by step of the care. There is so much transparency and that is what I love. I will drive out here any time knowing that my baby will be safe every time I come here.
They are very attentive, communicate well and are transparent about prices. My dogs have a lot of anxiety at the vet but they make sure they are comfortable and taken care of during every visit.
Dr. Theodore Derksen and his staff showed our family so much compassion during one of the hardest moments we’ve ever experienced. Last weekend we had to say goodbye to our 10-year-old golden retriever, Bentley, and Dr. Derksen made the entire process as gentle and comforting as it possibly could be. I originally didn’t plan on staying for the entire appointment because I didn’t think I would be able to handle it emotionally. But Dr. Derksen and his team were so kind, patient, and understanding that they helped me feel comfortable enough to stay with Bentley the whole time. One moment that meant the world to us was when they realized we had forgotten to bring chocolate for Bentley. Without hesitation, a staff member actually walked to Starbucks and brought back a cake pop so Bentley could enjoy a special treat before saying goodbye. That small act of kindness meant more than I can put into words. Dr. Derksen treated Bentley with such dignity and showed genuine compassion to our entire family during such a heartbreaking time. We will never forget the care, empathy, and humanity he showed us and our beloved dog. Thank you, Dr. Derksen, for helping Bentley pass peacefully and for supporting our family through such a difficult goodbye. We are truly grateful.
Spectrum Pet Hospital has my full trust when it comes to my five year old pitbull Luna. I've been to many vets who are afraid to go near my dog because of her breed but Dr. Cortright and Dr. Derksen are always willing to sit down with her and play which makes us both feel calm and taken care of. Front staff is amazing and Luana is always there to answer any of my questions and help with handling all the finances. 10/10 recommend for all pet parents and specifically pittie parents.
