With over 15 years of experience in small-animal medicine, Dr. Mahsa Mirzaei is dedicated to providing compassionate, personalized care for dogs and cats. After owning and operating a successful veterinary hospital in Iran from 2009 to 2015, she relocated to the United States, obtained her U.S. veterinary license in 2017, and has since continued practicing general medicine.
Her professional interests include preventive care, senior pet wellness, chronic disease management, pain management, soft tissue surgery, and veterinary dentistry. She has a particular passion for helping aging pets maintain comfort and mobility by recognizing subtle signs of chronic pain and developing individualized treatment plans that improve quality of life.
Committed to building lasting relationships with pets and their families, Dr. Mirzaei partners closely with pet owners to create practical, personalized care plans that support lifelong health and well-being.
Favorite Part of My Job
My favorite part of being a veterinarian is serving as an advocate for pets when they are sick, uncomfortable, or unable to communicate what they are feeling. Animals depend on us to recognize when something is wrong, and I find it incredibly rewarding to help uncover the cause of their illness or discomfort and develop a plan that improves their quality of life.
The most rewarding moments are seeing a pet feel better and knowing that I have helped strengthen the bond between pets and the people who love them.
Why I Chose This Profession
I chose veterinary medicine because it combines two things I have always loved: medicine and animals. To me, there was no better career than one that allows me to care for animals while applying the science and problem-solving aspects of medicine every day. Being a veterinarian allows me to make a meaningful difference for both animals and their families, and I find that incredibly rewarding.
